About the show
Cities live long… almost as if they are eternal, carrying within them countless untold stories of major events. In the narrative series Ismi (My Name), historic Arab cities tell the stories that history has forgotten but they have preserved. The first season focuses on one of the most important Arab cities—Mecca—known as the birthplace of Islam and today a spiritual center for millions of pilgrims. Note: This podcast is a narrative dramatization; while major historical events are portrayed accurately, some minor details may be adapted for storytelling. It is not intended as a precise historical record.
