A New Season of Dom Tak Podcast: Music Beyond Barriers

Sowt (Jordan) and Komet Kashakeel (UK) are excited to announce the launch of a brand-new season of the Dom Tak podcast, showcasing the contributions of disabled musicians to the Arabic musical landscape. In this series, we explore how identity, creativity, and access intersect; what it truly means to create music on your own terms; and how prepared the music world is to support inclusive and diverse creative spaces.

The five-episode series features musicians Adham Elsaid, Al Nour Wal Amal Orchestra, Yara Qawariq, Ziad Sinno, and Dirar Kalash—artists from across the region and in the UK whose music has captivated audiences on local and international stages.

Arabic episodes will be released on Dom Tak starting [31 July, 2025], and, for the first time, English renditions will be available on Loosely Adapted and audio-visual subtitles will be available in both languages on Sowt’s YouTube channel: Dom Tak | دُمْ تَكْ - YouTube.

This project is funded by the British Council’s International Collaboration Grants.
