Sowt is looking for a Head of Production (Sowt Originals) — a strategic, creative, and  a leader to oversee Sowt’s main content unit: Sowt Originals. This role blends high-level editorial vision with sharp business skills and is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of content, strategy, and monetization.

Sowt Podcasts is a leading digital media network in the MENA/SWANA region, producing high-quality, narrative-driven content for Arabic-speaking audiences. Since its launch in 2017, Sowt has produced 25+ original shows and thousands of episodes, with a team of 20+ full-time creatives and collaborators. Our shows have been featured in international media and have topped regional charts on Apple Podcasts, Anghami, Deezer, and Spotify.

  • Build & Manage Teams: Oversee producers, editors, and freelancers, ensuring creative excellence and timely delivery.

  • Drive Innovation: Develop new show formats and storytelling approaches, including experiments in short-form and video.

  • Ensure Editorial Quality: Supervise story development, pilots, and quarterly reviews while mentoring senior producers.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with post-production, sales, marketing, and people operations teams.

  • Monetization & Sponsorship: Partner with business teams to explore co-productions, licensing, and sponsorships.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • 8–10 years in media, podcasting, or digital content, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.

  • Fluent Arabic and strong English professional communication skills.

  • Experience owning a business unit or P&L and leading high-performing creative teams.

  • Deep understanding of audience development, podcast formats, and digital monetization models.

  • Track record of launching innovative content that meets editorial and commercial goals.

  • Familiarity with tools like Airtable, media analytics platforms, and basic audio production workflows.
